Abstract:
To provide an electric parking brake system which can dissolve the shortage of a brake force caused by a rise of an atmospheric temperature after parking.SOLUTION: An electric parking brake system 11 comprises: a brake device 6 having a drum 61; an electric motor 52 for operating the brake device 6 by towing a brake cable 51; an EPB-ECU 2 for controlling the electric motor 52; and an atmospheric temperature sensor 33 for detecting an atmospheric temperature. In order to suppress the lowering of a brake force caused by the thermal expansion of the drum 61 due to a rise of the atmospheric temperature, the EPB-ECU 2 increases an output of the electric motor 52 on the basis of the atmospheric temperature which is detected by the atmospheric temperature sensor 33.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
