Abstract:
To provide a vehicular lock release system capable of releasing a lock for receiving and delivering a package even at a place with an insufficient communication environment.SOLUTION: An owner of a vehicle to be used as a package reception vehicle registers, onto an authentication code registration part 42, an authentication password (an authentication code) used for permitting releasing of a vehicular lock mechanism 3, and notifies a delivery crew of a home delivery company of the authentication password. When the lock mechanism 3 is locked, an authentication operation is performed, in which to compare the authentication password registered onto the authentication code registration part 42 and an authentication password that is imaged with an on-vehicle camera 41 and applied with decoding processing, and the lock mechanism 3 is released in the case of establishing the authentication. This makes it possible to use the lock release system even in a case where a communication environment such as Internet is not readied at a vehicular parking place, thus making it possible to limit a zone where usage of the lock release system is enabled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
