Abstract:
To change over display means appropriately according to the turning angle in a display device, in an imaging apparatus having multiple display means including a display device placed rotatably.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 1 includes a display device 20 provided on the back plane of the body of the imaging apparatus, and rotatable upward around a revolving shaft A, an EVF10 having an eyepiece section 130 movable between a housing position and a use position, a detection switch 123 for detecting whether or not the eyepiece section 130 is at the use position, a proximity sensor 14a for detecting contact of an object with the eyepiece section 130, and control means for controlling display in the display device 20 and the EVF10. The control means enables prescribed control, set for the detection results of contact of the object with the eyepiece section 130 by the proximity sensor 14a, in a state where the detection switch 123 is detecting that the eyepiece section 130 is at the use position, otherwise disables the prescribed control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
