Abstract:
To provide a vehicle drive device which can secure output of an in-wheel motor and achieve reduction of a weight of a vehicle body by reducing a distance formed by connecting the in-wheel motor and a capacitor.SOLUTION: A vehicle drive device 1 includes: a tunnel part 22 expanding to the vehicle cabin side and extending in an anteroposterior direction at a center portion as seen in a vehicle width direction; a pair of left and right sub drive motors 10 formed by in-wheel motors which respectively drive a pair of left and right front wheels 2a; and a battery 6 and a capacitor 7 which can supply driving electric power to the pair of sub drive motors 10. The battery 6 and the capacitor 7 electrically connected in series are housed in the tunnel part 22. The capacitor 7 is connected to the pair of sub drive motors 10 and disposed at a position located closer to the pair of sub drive motor 10 than the battery 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
