Abstract:
To provide an EGR cooler that has a heat generating body including an organic metal structure and can efficiently and effectively controlling a temperature of EGR gas.SOLUTION: An EGR cooler includes: an EGR gas flow passage for causing EGR gas to flow; a refrigerant flow passage formed to exchange heat between the EGR gas flowing in the EGR gas flow passage and a refrigerant; a heat generating body accommodation part formed to cause at least a part of the heat generating body to come into contact with a wall surface of the EGR gas flow passage; a working gas tank for storing working gas; and a gas transfer device for transferring the working gas stored in the working gas tank from the working gas tank to the heat generating body accommodation part. The EGR cooler further includes an upstream side region and a downstream side region in the EGR gas flowing direction. In the EGR cooler, the heat generating body accommodation part is disposed in the downstream side region of the EGR cooler, and the heat generating body includes an organic metal structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
