Abstract:
To provide a vehicle controller capable of suppressing shock or variation in a release time due to release of a meshing type engagement device.SOLUTION: A vehicular controller is configured to: when there is a request to switch a meshing type engagement mechanism from an engagement state to a release state, continuously reduce torque that the meshing type engagement mechanism bears (step S2), and apply a predetermined load to eliminate meshing between input side meshing teeth and output side meshing teeth (step S3); and on condition that the amount of meshing between the input side meshing teeth and the output side meshing teeth has decreased, stop the reduction of the torque that the meshing type engagement mechanism bears by a torque control unit (step S5).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
