Abstract:
To provide a cover structure of an internal combustion engine capable of reducing a weight and securing sufficient sealing performance of an oil seal and a gasket.SOLUTION: A cover structure of an internal combustion engine includes a resin cover member 11 attached to a main body 2 of the internal combustion engine for covering a power transmission portion 5, and a metallic holding member 13 holding an oil seal 12 pressed to an outer peripheral face of a crank shaft. The holding member is engaged with the main body of the internal combustion engine, and can be positioned in an axial direction of the crank shaft and a plane direction orthogonal to the axial direction. Further, the cover member and the holding member are fastened by a fastening bolt 37 through a gasket 45 disposed in a manner of surrounding the crank shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
