Abstract:

To correctly calculate the amount of slag included in a tapped slag stream.SOLUTION: A slag amount measurement device 1, based on a plurality of first images Im1 obtained by imaging a tapped slag stream 30 discharged from a tap hole 11 of a vertical furnace (blast furnace 10) at a plurality of times, calculates the speed and the width of the tapped slag stream 30, and, using a prescribed equation including the speed and the width as variables, calculates the amount of the slag 32 taken off from the tap hole 11. The slag amount measurement device 1 comprises: a creation part 52; and a calculation part 53. The creation part 52, using the plurality of first images Im1, performs image processing of increasing a light-dark ratio between the edge of a tapped slag stream image 300 and a molten ion slag sagging line 301 to create a second image Im2.
