Abstract:
To solve the problem in which: in a configuration where a main body substrate provided in a main body of an image forming apparatus and a relay substrate provided on a support are connected with a cable, the image forming apparatus becomes easily affected by noise as the length of the cable is extended.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an image forming apparatus 100 that is formed with an opening; process cartridges that each have a photoconductor drum 102; exposure heads 106 that each expose the photoconductor drum 102; an image forming unit 400 that has side wall parts 430RS, 430LS supporting the exposure heads 106 and is movable to an attachment position and a withdrawal position; a connector 522 that is provided in an apparatus body; and a control board 501 that has a connector 530 that is connected to the connector 522 when the image forming unit 400 is at the attachment position, and the connection of which with the connector 522 is released when the image forming unit 400 is at the withdrawal position, and is provided on the side wall part 430RS or the side wall part 430LS so as to control a light emitting device based on a drive signal transmitted via the connector 522 when the image forming unit 400 is at the attachment position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
