Abstract:
To provide manufacturing methods of a bearing ring of a bearing for a vehicle, and the bearing for the vehicle, capable of suppressing melting of a light-alloy portion included in the bearing ring after formation of the light-alloy portion.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a bearing ring (11) of a bearing for a vehicle, includes a process for preparing a raceway member (111) having a raceway surface (111a, 111b) on an inner peripheral surface or an outer peripheral surface, and composed of a material including steel, a process for performing high frequency induction heating to the raceway surface (111a, 111b), and a process for casting a material including the light-alloy, to the surface not having the raceway surface (111a, 111b) of the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface of the raceway member (111). A light-alloy portion (112) is formed by hardening the material including the light-alloy after termination of the high frequency induction heating process.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2D
