To provide a soundness evaluation method for a pump unit that enables even a checker who is less experienced to properly evaluate deterioration states from photographic images of respective components to provide evaluation on soundness in which state supervisory maintenance and time supervisory maintenance are harmonized.SOLUTION: A soundness evaluation method for a pump unit comprises: a state supervision type evaluation step of calculating, based upon an observation image of a component to be maintained which is photographed from inside a pump unit using an endoscope and a prepared evaluation reference image, a state evaluation value by scoring a deterioration state of the component to be maintained for each of predetermined evaluation items; a time supervision type evaluation step of calculating a temporal evaluation value from a life evaluation value obtained by scoring the deterioration state based upon the elapsed time after the initial installation of the pump unit and a repair evaluation value obtained by scoring a maintenance state based upon the elapsed time after maintenance of the pump unit; and a soundness evaluation step of calculating a soundness determination value based upon values obtained by multiplying the state evaluation value and the temporal evaluation value by a predetermined weight coefficient respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
