Abstract:
To provide a battery control apparatus that suppresses a deviation between an estimated charge amount and an actual charge amount of a battery and accurately manages a charge state of a battery having an SOC-OCV characteristic curve with a flat zone.SOLUTION: A battery control apparatus includes: an acquisition unit for obtaining an OCV of a battery; a determination unit for determining whether the OCV is in a range between a lower limit voltage and an upper limit voltage of a flat zone, both ends inclusive; an estimation unit for estimating a charge amount of the battery; a setup unit for setting a controlling charge amount that is referred to as the charge amount of the battery; and a control unit for controlling charging and discharging of the battery. When the OCV is in the range, the setup unit sets a controlling charge amount at a first charge amount determined by the lower limit voltage of the flat zone; the control unit charges the battery until the OCV reaches a first voltage which exceeds the upper limit voltage of the flat zone after travel is enabled; and the setup unit sets the controlling charge amount at the charge amount estimated by the estimation unit until the OCV reaches the first voltage, and sets the controlling charge amount at a second charge amount determined by the OCV after the OCV has reached the first voltage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
