Abstract:
To provide a power generation system capable of effectively making use of heat generated by a dehydrogenation reaction or a hydrogenation reaction.SOLUTION: A power generation system 2 comprises: an electric heating device 15 for warming at least one of a first passage 13a and a first catalyst 13b in a hydrogenation system 1 comprising a hydrogenation reactor 13 including the first passage 13a in which the first catalyst 13b for accelerating a hydrogenation reaction of an aromatic compound is provided, and a first discharge pipe 14 extending outside the hydrogenation reactor 13 from the first passage 13a; a heat exchange part 35 for cooling at least one of the first passage 13a, the first catalyst 13b and the first discharge pipe 14; a power generator 46 for performing power generation using heat obtained by the heat exchange part 35; and a power storage device 47 for storing power obtained by the power generator 46. The electric heating device 15 is driven based on at least power given from the power storage device 47.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
