Title:
PRESSURE SENSOR FAILURE DETERMINING DEVICE FOR FUEL TANK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2020084777
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide a pressure sensor failure determining device for a fuel tank capable of detecting a failure of a pressure sensor of a fuel tank without using an additional pressure sensor.SOLUTION: When pressure in a fuel tank 36 is in a predetermined positive pressure state, by controlling a tank connection/disconnection solenoid valve 46 to open while controlling a purge control solenoid valve 44 to open, evaporation in the fuel tank 36 is supplied to an engine intake system 11 to lower the pressure in the fuel tank 36. When the pressure in the fuel tank 36 is in a predetermined negative pressure state, by controlling the tank connection/disconnection solenoid valve 46 to open, outside air flows into the fuel tank 36 from a canister 38 to increase the pressure in the fuel tank 36. If the evaporation in the fuel tank 36 is sufficiently supplied into the engine intake system 11 or the outside air is sufficiently supplied into the fuel tank 36, the inside of the fuel tank 36 is brought into an atmospheric pressure state, so that it is determined whether or not an output value of a pressure sensor 48 detected unto the atmospheric pressure condition corresponds to atmospheric pressure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
