Abstract:
To provide a breather device of an internal combustion engine which has simple constitution and high flexibility of layout, and is excellent in a gas-liquid separation effect.SOLUTION: A breather device for making a blowby gas recirculate to an intake system (24) from a crank chamber (14) of an internal combustion engine is provided that comprises a fluid deceleration space (31) having a space inlet (33) and a space outlet (34), and a cylindrical member (40) having an internal insertion portion (44) inserted into the fluid deceleration space from the space inlet. The cylindrical member has an inlet part (43) located outside the fluid deceleration space, and an outlet part arranged at the internal insertion portion, and located in the fluid deceleration space. The outlet part is opened toward a direction intersecting with an axial direction of the internal insertion portion, and composed of a plurality of holes (47) each having cross section areas smaller than that of the inlet part. The plurality of holes are formed at specified ranges (44b, 44d) which are not oriented to the space outlet out of the internal insertion portion of the cylindrical member, and the internal insertion portion is blocked in a range other than the specified ranges.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
