Abstract:
To improve low noise and low vibration performance in a drive device for a vehicle comprising an engagement device that can selectively fix a ring gear of a planetary gear device for a speed reduction to a case.SOLUTION: A drive device (1) for a vehicle comprises a rotary electric machine, an output member (O), a planetary gear device (PG2) for a speed reduction, and a case (2). The planetary gear device (PG2) for the speed reduction has a ring gear (R2) as a third rotary element that is selectively fixed to the case (2) by an engagement device (65). A ring gear coupling member (40) rotating integrally with the ring gear (R2) has a support part (42) supporting the engagement device (65), and the supporting part (42) is arranged radially inward with respect to an inner peripheral surface of the ring gear (R2).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
