Abstract:
To provide a speed reducer capable of reducing impact noise occurring in a case where rotation from a drive source is input.SOLUTION: Since rotation input from a drive source to a speed reducer 1 is reduced at a first reduction ratio in a wave gear device 10 and output to a speed reduction mechanism 20, and then reduced at a second reduction ratio in the speed reduction mechanism 20 and output from a case 28 to a partner device, the speed reducer 1 can reduce the rotation from the drive source at a high reduction ratio represented by the product of the first reduction ratio and the second reduction ratio. The wave gear device 10 has a wave generator 11 fixed to an output shaft of the drive source. Consequently, since the rotation of the output shaft of the drive source is input to the wave generator 11 fixed to the output shaft, it is possible to prevent the generation of large impact noise that occurs when a gear rotating at the rotation speed of the drive source collides with another gear.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
