To provide an on-vehicle backup power source control device or an on-vehicle backup power source which can report the state of a power storage part to the outside in an excellent manner while reducing the cost and the size.SOLUTION: A control device 20 applies voltage from a power storage part 92 to a backup target load 94 when a main power source 91 fails. The control device 20 includes a charging/discharging unit 35 that charges the power storage part 92 or discharges the power storage part 92, a voltage detection unit 38 that detects the voltage of the power storage part 92, a control unit 39 that controls the operation of the charging/discharging unit 35, and a signal blocking unit 37 that blocks output of a signal from the control unit 39 to the outside when a voltage value Vout of the power storage part 92 detected by the voltage detection unit 38 is less than a prescribed first threshold Th1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
