To provide a technique capable of reducing sizes of irregularities on the surface.SOLUTION: A slide member according to this invention includes a base layer, and a resin coating layer formed on the base layer, the resin coating layer being formed of polyamide-imide resin as a binder, barium sulfate particles, molybdenum disulfide particles, and inevitable impurities, and constituted by a plurality of coats formed by applying recoating.
