Title:
ELECTRONIC MIRROR SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2020104804
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To obtain an electronic mirror system that is able to improve visibility around a rear portion of an own vehicle during backward movement of the own vehicle during night.SOLUTION: A display system 20 has a measurement unit 62, an imaging unit 64, a display unit 66, an operation unit 68, and a display control unit 70. The measurement unit 62 measures a brightness outside the vehicle 10. The imaging unit 64 is provided so as to be switchable between a first imaging range SA and a second imaging range SB and captures respective images behind and at a side of the vehicle 10. The display unit 66 shows on displays 32A, 34A a video M image-captured by the imaging unit 64. In the operation unit 68, one of forward movement and backward movement of the vehicle 10 is operated. In a case where backward movement of the vehicle 10 is operated by the operation unit 68 during night in which a brightness measured by the measurement unit 62 is equal to or lower than a set threshold, the display control unit 70 switches to the second imaging range SB and increases, in comparison with the brightness of a dark part DA before the backward movement of the vehicle 10, the brightness of a dark part DB having a brightness lower than the set brightness.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
