Abstract:
To provide an automatic transmission capable of suppressing complication of a hydraulic circuit and increase of costs, and reducing shock in switching from a travelling range to a non-travelling range.SOLUTION: An automatic transmission includes: a plurality of fastening elements; a manual valve 6 for switching communication or cutoff of a hydraulic fluid between a hydraulic source and the fastening elements in interlocking with an operation of a select lever to a travelling range or a non-travelling range; flow control valves 100, 110 disposed in oil paths 204, 202 for communicating the manual valve and the fastening elements FWDC, REVB, and including communication ports 106, 116 with the manual valve, communication ports 107, 117 with the fastening elements, and drain ports 108, 118; and a controller CU for controlling the flow control valves. The controller controls openings of the drain ports of the flow control valves on the basis of a predetermined characteristic in discharging the hydraulic fluid of the fastening elements when the select lever is operated from the travelling range to the non-travelling range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
