Abstract:
To obtain a high load response characteristic in a switching power supply device.SOLUTION: A switching power supply device for generating output voltage through switching of input voltage in an output transistor on/off-controls the output transistor on the basis of a comparison result of a first comparison voltage depending on prescribed reference voltage, and a second comparison voltage depending on feedback voltage corresponding to the output voltage so that an output ON period in a fixed length, in which the output transistor is turned on, and an output OFF period in a variable length, in which the output transistor is turned off, are alternately switched. Prior to the comparison, a ripple voltage obtained through charging/discharging of a capacitor is injected to one of the first comparison voltage and the second comparison voltage. When the ripple voltage is generated, the capacitor is charged in the whole output ON period or a part of it, the capacitor is discharged in the other period, and an upper limit is formed in a charging period of the capacitor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
