Abstract:
To provide a negative electrode active material which is high in stability against aqueous slurry, and enables the achievement of a high capacity, good cycle characteristics and a satisfactory initial efficiency.SOLUTION: A negative electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises negative electrode active material particles. The negative electrode active material particles include silicon compound particles containing a silicon compound (SiOX: 0.5≤X≤1.6). The silicon compound particles contain at least one kind of amorphous silicon and microcrystal silicon. The negative electrode active material particles contain, as a Li compound, at least one kind of Li2SiO3 and Li2Si2O5. In the negative electrode active material particles, a compound having a zeolite crystalline structure deposits to a surface layer part of each negative electrode active material particle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
