Abstract:
To achieve high accuracy of hands-off determination by appropriately detecting driver torque during execution of steering support control.SOLUTION: A drive assist ECU 10 includes a hands-off determination section 106. The hands-off determination section 106 calculates a steering wheel steering angle θh with a hands-off state assumed on the basis of an upstream-side friction value FrU of a torsion bar 61 and a torsional stiffness value Ktb of the torsion bar 61 (S11-S15). The hands-off determination section 106 calculates a driver torque Tx by correcting an input torque Ti detected by a torque sensor 60, using a value obtained by multiplying a difference value between the steering wheel steering angle θh and an assist part steering angle θa by a torsional stiffness value Ktb (Tx=Ti-Ktb*(θh-θa)).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
