Abstract:
To provide a part excellent in a rotating bending fatigue strength in addition to abrasion resistance, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a gas soft-nitrided part comprising: a steel in which the content of the C, Mn, Cr, V, Mo satisfies formula (1); and a compound layer having a thickness of 3 to 20 μm formed of Fe, N, C and the elements contained in the steel, formed on the surface of the steel. The compound layer contains more than 50% of an ε phase in terms of area ratio, the balance is γ' phase, and an area ratio of a void is less than 15% in a region from a surface of the compound layer to a depth of 3 μm. 0.00≤-2.1×C+0.04×Mn+0.5×Cr+1.8×V-1.5×Mo≤0.50...(1).SELECTED DRAWING: None
