Abstract:
To provide a cooling device for an internal combustion engine capable of calculating stress that a gear undergoes while a motor is driving.SOLUTION: A cooling device 20 comprises: a control valve 26 which regulates a cooling water flow in a circulation circuit 21; a motor control section 51 which controls drive of a motor 37 of the control valve 26; a motor torque calculation section 57 which calculates motor torque on the basis of effective voltage applied to the motor 37; a valve body torque calculation section 61 which calculates valve body torque among several types of motor torque on the basis of an angular speed of the motor 37; and a drive time stress calculation section 62 which calculates drive time stress on the basis of a difference between the motor torque and the valve body torque.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
