Abstract:
To provide a fixing device and an image forming apparatus capable of stabilizing a conveyance attitude from the first recording medium heated by a preheating unit in comparison with a case where a detection unit is arranged between the preheating unit and a spraying unit.SOLUTION: A fixing device 100 includes: a preheating unit 102 for heating a sheet member P in a non-contact state; a spraying unit 170 arranged so as to be opposite to the preheating unit 102; a detection unit 200 arranged on an upstream side of the preheating unit 102 in a conveyance direction of the sheet member P; and a main heating unit 120 arranged on a downstream side of the preheating unit 102. The sheet member P to be conveyed is to pass between the spraying unit 170 and the preheating unit 102. The detection unit 200 detects a deflection of the sheet member P to be conveyed to detect a conveyance attitude of the sheet member P. The control unit controls each of a plurality of fans 172 arranged in the spraying unit 170 on the basis of a detection result of the detection unit 200.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
