Abstract:
To provide a printer which can efficiently wipe stuck ink formed on a nozzle formation surface of discharge means using a wiping member even when an ink set that reduces a coloring material content and increases a percentage content of a resin is used.SOLUTION: A printer has an ink set having a plurality of ink, discharge means discharging the ink from a nozzle, and a wiping member 320 wiping a nozzle formation surface of the discharge means, in which the wiping member 320 includes a laminate having two or more layers 610 and 620, a thickness of the layer 610 of the first layer from the nozzle formation surface side is smaller than the total of the thicknesses of the layer 620 other than the first layer, a void ratio of the layer 610 of the first layer is smaller than a void ratio of at least the one layer 620 other than the first layer, the ink contains a coloring material and a resin, and a percentage ratio (mass ratio) of the coloring material is 0.05 or more and 0.35 or less when the resin is set at 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
