To provide a polymer compound for a conductive polymer suitably used as a dopant for a fuel cell or a conductive material and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A polymerization reaction is conducted using a polymerizable monomer represented by the following general formula (1) and one or more monomers selected from a monomer having a structure of a salt consisting of a lithium salt such as fluorosulfonic acid, a sodium salt, a potassium salt or a nitrogen compound salt and a structure of a salt of a repeating unit of a polymer obtained by the polymerization reaction is converted into fluorosulfonic acid or the like by ion exchange (wherein, R is a single bond, a methylene group or an ethylidene group and m is 1 or 2).SELECTED DRAWING: None
