Abstract:
To provide a steering control device that can reduce the amount of steering while securing operability of a driver depending on traveling conditions.SOLUTION: A steering control device 61 configures a steer-by-wire system that does not include a physical connection between a steering shaft by a driver and an actual vehicle wheel steering angle and includes a computation unit 74 configured to determine an actual steering angle based on a steering angle generated on the steering shaft and steering torque. The computation unit 74 for the actual steering angle controls the actual steering angle based on the steering torque in a region where the steering angle is equal to or smaller than a threshold. When the steering angle is greater than the threshold, the computation unit controls the actual angle based on a parameter different from the steering torque or a steering torque gain changed from the case where the steering angle is smaller than the threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
