Abstract:
To provide a solid-liquid separation method of a nickel high-pressure leach residue which is capable of preventing excessive addition of a coagulant to a thickener and improving solid-liquid separation performance of a leach residue.SOLUTION: A solid-liquid separation method of a nickel high-pressure leach residue includes carrying out preliminary neutralization of a slurry of a leach residue obtained after subjecting a nickel oxide ore to high-pressure sulfuric acid leaching, and then carrying out solid-liquid separation by aggregation and precipitation of a solid part by using a thickener. An amount of the leach residue supplied to the thickener is estimated or measured, and an amount of coagulant added according to an amount of the leach residue is controlled so that an amount of use of the coagulant becomes a predetermined value or below.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
