Abstract:
To provide an abnormality detection device of a parallel unit capable of determining presence of abnormality of the parallel unit in a short time even during charge or discharge.SOLUTION: An abnormality detection device of a parallel unit includes a voltage detection part 16, an internal resistance estimation part, and a battery ECU 18 as an abnormality determination part. During charge or discharge, the battery ECU 18 selects another parallel unit Y, where the difference of internal resistance of each parallel unit Y and internal resistance of the other parallel unit Y becomes equal to or below a comparison threshold level, for comparison with respect to each parallel unit Y. When the difference of voltage across each parallel unit Y and voltage across the other parallel unit Y, selected for comparison, becomes equal to or above a determination threshold level, the battery ECU 18 determines that any one of the two parallel units Y is abnormal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
