Abstract:
To cut a pumpkin so that it fits in a predetermined standard without waste.SOLUTION: A pumpkin cutting method has a first step of forming an annular slit 5 at an inclination angle α with first cutters 11A and 11B so that a certain range 6 of its apex part is separable from other part 7, and a second step of vertically cutting a half-cut pumpkin 1 in which the annular slit 5 has been formed with a second cutter 21. In the second step, the second cutter 21 has an annular blade 22 having a radius R coaxially with the half-cut pumpkin 1, and first and second radial blades 23A and 23B extending outward with respect to a center of the annular blade 22. The first step forms the annular slit 5 in the half-cut pumpkin 1 in a state in which the tips of the first cutters 11A and 11B proceed to a virtual ring having the radius R on a bottom surface 4 of the half-cut pumpkin 1 toward the inside from the outer peripheral side of the half-cut pumpkin 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
