Abstract:
To provide a receiver that, when security communication is being performed, can make a display indicating that the security communication is being performed outside a full screen of video and multimedia content.SOLUTION: A receiver including a video signal processing unit, an indicator, and a communication unit further includes a control unit for detecting security communication based on transport layer security (TLS) via the communication unit. When there is no error of security communication, the control unit makes a notification display for notifying that a function related to security is operating outside a display screen of the indicator, and when an error occurs during execution of security communication, the control unit displays its cause on the screen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
