Abstract:
To provide a propeller shaft fall prevention device which can absorb an impact load from a vehicle propeller shaft, and can suppress the interference of the vehicle propeller shaft with a vehicle body when the vehicle propeller shaft falls from the vehicle body.SOLUTION: A propeller shaft fall prevention device 14 includes: a support member 20 having a fixed part 20a fixed to a vehicle body 16, and a pair of longitudinal support parts 20b protruding downward of the vehicle body 16 from the fixed part 20a with a prescribed interval therebetween; and an annular main body member 30 which surrounds a propeller shaft 12 in a state of being supported to the pair of support parts 20b. The main body member 30 is fastened to the pair of support parts 20b so as to move in a longitudinal direction of the pair of support parts 20b when an impact load is applied to the main body member 30 from the propeller shaft 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
