Abstract:
To provide an image forming device with which, in a structure provided with an adjustment mode for outputting a chart, with a test image formed therein, and adjusting the setting of a transfer voltage, it is possible to more appropriately adjust the setting of the transfer voltage.SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises: an image carrier 44b; a transfer member 45b; a power supply 76; detection means 76b for detecting a current; acquisition means 80 for acquiring information relating to the density of an image on a recording medium; and a control unit 30 capable of executing a mode for applying a plurality of different test voltages to the transfer member 45b from the power supply 76, causing a chart 100 in which the test image is transferred to a recording medium S to be outputted, and setting a transfer voltage, on the basis of the result of detection of the chart 100 by the acquisition means 80, which is applied to the transfer member 45b when the recording medium S passes through a transfer unit N during image formation. The control unit 30 is constituted so that, during the above mode, the transfer voltage is set on the basis of a detection result detected by the detection means 76b when a plurality of test voltages are applied to the transfer member 45b and the chart 100 exists in the transfer unit N.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
