Abstract:
To provide a vehicle body structure capable of protecting a battery or a fuel tank when a lateral collision occurred.SOLUTION: A vehicle body structure includes a part to be protected including a battery or a fuel tank provided on a vehicle, an arm facing the part to be protected in a vehicle width direction of the vehicle and connected to a vehicle wheel, an enlarged part provided on the arm, facing the part to be protected in the vehicle width direction, and projecting at least toward the part to be protected, and a side collision suppression part positioned between the part to be protected and the arm in the vehicle width direction and on a wheel side of the enlarged part in a vehicle longitudinal direction and provided on the part to be protected or a vehicle body, and a length of the side collision suppression part from the part to be protected to an arm side end in the vehicle width direction being long as compared with a projection amount of the enlarged part from the arm toward the part to be protected in the vehicle width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
