Abstract:
To provide a motor control device for electric power steering which continues steering assist function even if an ignition signal is interrupted.SOLUTION: In a motor control device for electric power steering, motor control devices 1a, 1b have a redundant configuration comprising plural motor control systems, and the motor control device belonging to a specific system of those plural systems is provided with OR circuits 25a, 25b which take a logical sum of the IG signal from an ignition switch (IG-SW) and a CAN wakeup signal received via an on-vehicle network (CAN). Thus, even if the IG signal is interrupted due to failure such as disconnection, a power source, which constitutes the motor control device of the specific system, is actuated by the CAN wakeup signal, thereby driving a control part (CPU) and so on, and continuing steering assist.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
