To provide methods for measuring protease activity in saliva.SOLUTION: Provided are a method for measuring saliva protease activity, in which saliva is contacted with a reagent for measuring protease activity that causes luminescence or color development by being digested by protease, and subsequently the protease activity of the saliva is measured based on the intensity of luminescence or color development generated, and a method for evaluating the amount of oral bacterial activity, in which the protease activity of the saliva collected from a test animal is measured by the method for measuring saliva protease activity and the amount of oral bacterial activity of the test animal is evaluated based on the measurement result.SELECTED DRAWING: None
