Abstract:
To provide a novel molybdenum dithiocarbamate and a lubricant composition containing the same which exhibit excellent frictional properties under a wide variety of conditions of use.SOLUTION: The molybdenum dithiocarbamate is represented by the specified general formula (1). In the general formula (1), R1 represents a group represented by the specified general formula (2); R2-R4 each independently represent a group represented by the general formula (2) or a C8-14 alkyl group; and X1-X4 each independently represent an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom.
