Abstract:
To provide a water heater capable of avoiding tapping of high temperature hot water which a user does not expect, even in the case where an operation is performed for switching to an operation permission mode using an outside communication terminal.SOLUTION: A water heater includes a water heater body 2, a control device 4 and one or a plurality of exclusive remote controllers 3a, 3b. The control device 4 has an operation permission mode and an operation stop mode, and it can switch between the operation permission mode and the operation stop mode alternately on the basis of a mode switching signal to be transmitted from the exclusive remote controllers 3a, 3b or a communication terminal 61. Determination of a communication state with the exclusive remote controllers 3a, 3b is performed, and in the case where the communication state with all the exclusive remote controllers 3a, 3b is abnormal, the operation stop mode is held and the water heater is brought into a hot water supply operation prohibition state in which the hot water supply device body 2 is not allowed to perform a hot water supply operation, and in this state, even after a mode switching signal for switching to the operation permission mode is received from the communication terminal 61, the hot water supply operation prohibition state is held.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
