To protect cores.SOLUTION: A surge reduction device comprises: annular cores 10 that have magnetic substance cores 11 made of annular magnetic substances and insertion holes 10a through which combinations of a pair of first divided electric conductor We1 and second divided electric conductor We2 can be inserted; electric connection components 20 that are electrically connected to one end of the first divided electric conductor inserted through the insertion hole from one side and are electrically connected to one end of the second divided electric conductor inserted through the insertion hole from the other side; a housing 30 that can house the annular cores, the combinations of the pair of first divided electric conductor and second divided electric conductor as well as the electric connection components; and storage members 40 that are interposed between the annular cores and the housing, are more flexible than the annular cores and the housing, house and retain the annular cores, and allow the housing to retain the cores.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
