Abstract:
To provide a flat battery and a manufacturing method therefor, capable of achieving an improvement in producibility of flat batteries and a reduction in manufacturing costs without the need for molding an insulation gasket in advance, and also capable of ensuring sufficient sealing performance while no need for caulking work.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for a flat battery includes the steps of: forming an annular bank part 23 on the bottom surface of an outer can 2; applying a liquid or gel sealant between the bank part 23 and a cylindrical side wall part 22 of the outer can 2; positioning the tip side of a peripheral wall part 32 of a seal can 3 between the bank part 23 and a cylindrical side wall part 22 and fitting the outer can 2 and the seal can 3, a sealant being compressed by the tip of the peripheral wall part 32, and the sealant being stretched between the cylindrical side wall part 22 and the peripheral wall part 32; and, in this state, putting a flat battery 1 in a drying furnace while pressing the outer can 2 and the seal can 3 from above and below, and curing the sealant to form a sealing resin layer 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
