To provide prostaglandins that are substantially free of 5,6-trans isomer.SOLUTION: A composition contains a prostaglandin derivative. A composition contains travoprost free acid, in which the 5,6-trans isomer content is less than 0.1% and the 15β isomer content is less than 0.1%. A composition contains latanoprost free acid, in which the 5,6-trans isomer content is less than 0.1% and the 15β isomer content is less than 0.1%.
