Abstract:
To provide a wear detection sensor of a blast furnace Cu stave that can detect wear of a Cu stave more accurately and efficiently, can detect the wear even during blast furnace operation, and can perform on-line management.SOLUTION: In a wear detection sensor, an electrical circuit 2 that causes changes in electrical characteristics by wearing and breaking in conjunction with wear of the Cu stave is built inside a metal pipe 3 constituting a sensor outer wall. As detection leads 20 that constitutes the electric circuit 2 and causes the changes in the electrical characteristics, a plurality of detection leads 20 are disposed so as to extend to different positions in the longitudinal direction of a distal part 1a which is supposed to be worn together with the Cu stave. Each detection lead 20 extends to a position on a proximal end of the metal pipe 3 which is located outside the furnace, and a detection element 21 constituting the electric circuit 2 is connected to the proximal end. The distal part 1a which is supposed to be worn together with the Cu stave of the metal pipe 3 is composed of Cu or a Cu alloy. The wear detection sensor detects wear of the Cu stave on the basis of the changes in electrical characteristics.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
