Abstract:
To provide a structure capable of easily performing work for assembling a holder which energizes a tip end of a worm closer to a worm wheel, to a housing in a predetermined positional relation in a circumferential direction in a worm reduction gear comprising the holder.SOLUTION: A holder retention part 24 of a housing comprises a pair of arm accommodating recesses 42. A holder 19 comprises: a holder main body part 34 to which a tip end side bearing 18 externally fitted to a tip end of a worm 16 is internally fitted and which is disposed movable away from and closer to a worm wheel; and a pair of arm parts 35 protruding from an outer peripheral surface of the holder main body 34 and having elasticity. Each of the arm parts 35 is engaged into each of the arm accommodating recess 42 while being elastically deformed, and the tip end side bearing 18 internally fitted to the holder main body part 34 is elastically energized toward the side of the worm wheel by elastic resilience of each of the arm parts 35.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
