Abstract:
To provide a vibrating body in which the inclination of elliptical vibration in the vibrating body can be adjusted such that the inclination becomes small.SOLUTION: A vibration wave actuator includes a vibrating body having an elastic body and an electro-mechanical energy conversion element in which two electrode groups are formed, and a contact body that comes into contact with the vibrating body, and a first AC voltage is applied to one of the two electrode groups, and a second AC voltage having a voltage phase different from that of the first AC voltage is applied to the other electrode group of the two electrode groups to move the vibrating body and the contact body relative to each other in two directions, and the magnitude relationship of the effective value of the first AC voltage and the effective value of the second AC voltage is switched according to the two directions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
