Abstract:
To determine a state of a grinding stone, with a simpler configuration.SOLUTION: A method for determining a state of a grinding stone comprises: a step in which time waveform data on a supervisory signal outputted from a sensor 15, arranged in the vicinity of a fixed position of an object W to be ground, which detects vibrations of the grinding stone during grinding processing of the object W to be ground is converted to frequency waveform data; a step in which an impact quantity is extracted from the frequency waveform data and processing resistance during the grinding processing of the object W to be ground is determined based on the impact quantity; and a step in which a state of the grinding stone is detected based on the processing resistance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
