Abstract:
To provide means capable of reading a reference member in a printing apparatus recording an image on a continuous paper sheet.SOLUTION: The printing apparatus comprises: an optical reading unit 74 that is located at a position downstream of an image recording unit in a direction of transport in a transport path 22 of a continuous paper sheet 11; a posture change mechanism that changes a posture of the reading unit to a first posture in which the reading unit faces the transport path and to a second posture in which the reading unit faces a direction different from the first posture; a first reference member 31A that faces the reading unit in the first posture and is used to determine a criterion for image reading which is based on an output signal of the reading unit; a second reference member 31B that faces the reading unit in the second posture and is used to determine a criterion for image reading which is based on the output signal of the reader.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
