Abstract:
To solve such a problem that interpolation processing causes image degradation when performing the interpolation processing using PWM in order to reduce steps and stripes that occur when performing pixel shift with geometric conversion of an image.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus for forming an image with scanning of light from a plurality of light sources acquires an inclination amount in the scanning direction of each light, shifts formed image data by a pixel unit in a direction orthogonal to the scanning direction of the light in accordance with the acquired inclination amount, shifts the formed image data by a pixel unit in the scanning direction or the direction orthogonal to the scanning direction in accordance with the skew amount of a sheet, and performs interpolation processing on the image data shifted by the pixel unit in the direction orthogonal to the scanning direction of the light by a unit less than one pixel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
